Surface Combat Systems Center Wallops Island is a highly sophisticated facility uniquely located in a rural setting on the beautiful Eastern Shore of Virginia which is famous for its wildlife refuge and unspoiled shorelines. Surface Combat Systems Center is located at NASA Wallops Flight Facility on Wallops Island, Virginia’s Eastern Shore. The area surrounding the base is very rural, composed of a quiet and friendly community. SCSC is composed of military, civil service, and contractor personnel.
Mission
The mission of Wallops Island SCSC is to provide live integrated warfare systems in a maritime environment for fleet operations, testing, evaluation, training, research and development.
