Ship Support Office

History
The Ship Support Office (SSO) is part of U.S. Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Yokosuka. It has provided cost-savings global relationship-building support.

The Hong Kong SSO provides extensive support to Forward-Deployed Naval Forces of the United States, assists other navies where possible, and provides ready humanitarian and community relations support when needed. Logistics services are strategically located to provide the most good. Teams provide logistics arrangement and assistance and other vendor information to New Zealand ships visiting Hong Kong and Vladivostok. FISC Detachment Singapore also processes shipments of repair parts and other material to Diego Garcia for British and Australian forces.
